Foundation Development Officer Michael Nuttall can’t wait to go back to school on Monday.  Like many people Michael has been on furlough for the last few months so is looking forward to getting back delivering rugby training in local schools on a regular basis.

“The last few months have been hard for everyone and I’ve been itching to get back for what seems an eternity” commented Michael

Monday sees the start of the Beeston Engagement Project thanks to funding received from the Inner South Community Committee.  The project follows a similar format to highly successful Middleton project delivered in 2019.

“I’ll be delivering weekly rugby training sessions to children at Beeston Primary, Hugh Gaitskell, St Lukes and Beeston St Anthony’s through to July.  The children will also be invited down to the stadium to play in curtain raiser tournaments and meet Gary Thornton and the team”.

“The sessions are aimed at introducing the youngsters to rugby league and Hunslet and letting them know they have a fantastic junior club in the Beeston Broncos on their doorstep”.
