Unfortunately Leeds United fell at the final hurdle in Sunday’s Play-Off Final but I’m sure they will lick their wounds and come out fighting next season. Ups and Downs is what sport is all about. There is no doubt the eyes of the city were all on Wembley and it certainly impacted our attendance, which was over 100 down on last season’s gate. It was not all bad news though and I’d like to thank everyone who came along to the stadium and those who packed the Phoenix post game to watch the Final. It was a great atmosphere despite the result.

It was also nice to welcome a number of Wakefield supporters who took advantage of the DR discount tickets, and were quick to buy their Hunslet merchandise. We hope they become regular visitors to South Leeds Stadium.

Our victory on Sunday backed up the impressive result at Keighley and the team is well placed as we approach the half way point of the season. I’d encourage everyone with Hunslet at heart to get along to the Midlands game on Sunday 16th June. Let’s get behind Dean and the Boys and have our own promotion to celebrate come the end of the season.
