Harry the Hawk has been out and about visiting schools in South Leeds to help deliver the message about living a healthy lifestyle. Schools visited included Rothwell St Marys and Rothwell Church of England primary school.
As well as joining in with the children at the multi skills PE lessons Harry has also being helping out in school assemblies and was a big hit with the pupils and teachers. The assemblies are all about living a healthy lifestyle and look at the things we eat and how we exercise and while it’s a serious message we are delivering Harry is always on hand to lighten things up a little and keep the audience interested. He is also the star of his very own short film shown during the assembly.
Harry and our community team are not only delivering the healthy lifestyle message but also creating pathways for school children to become more active and get involved at their local community clubs by giving these school classes a taste of what they can expect at their local club and that exercise can be fun and that rugby league is a great way to do it.
