As part of its 2023 development plan, Hunslet RLFC has partnered with Tricel Leeds, a South Leeds-based distributor of composite materials, to encourage local youth participation in the Club.

Hunslet’s General Manager Lynn Robinson said, “Like most clubs, we offer free tickets for kids. However, with the current cost of living crisis, an adult to accompany them can be prohibitively expensive.

“Through this partnership with Tricel, we can offer the accompanying adult a discounted price of just ยฃ5. We aim to bring the next generation of supporters to rugby league and the Club.”

Adding to that, Kenny Sykes said, “I’d like to personally thank Steve Leat and Mark Ogden from Tricel for their assistance with this launch.”

“We met with them just before Christmas, and it was clear from the outset that they are committed to the local community like us. We are grateful for their supportย and with the help of the Hunslet Rugby Foundation we are hoping to see a big take up from families in the area.”

As Managing Director of Tricel Leeds, Steve Leat, commented, “Hunslet’s community values are very similar to Tricel’s. Sport is a great way of engaging young people and giving them purpose.

“As well as supporting one of the oldest clubs in the game, we are delighted to play a part in its growth. Over the next few years, we look forward to building on this local relationship.”
