Two of the National Conference League’s four divisions are headed by teams in the South of the River region.

Oulton Raiders are in pole position in Division One, and East Leeds are clear of their rivals in Division Three.

HUNSLET CLUB PARKSIDE, meanwhile, are in the leading pack in the Premier Division and beat visitors Pilkington Recs 38-12 on Saturday, posting an Omar Alrawi brace and tries by Will Cohen, Danny Rowse, Dewi Billingham, Ben Shulver and Craig McShane, with Rowse adding five goals.

OULTON RAIDERS have leapfrogged Stanningley to the top of Division One after edging West Bowling 19-18 through a late Danny Mackintosh drop-goal. Kieron Walpole scored a try and three goals, and Nathan Waters and Lawrence Dibb crossed, for the home side.

STANNINGLEY, though, suffered a shock 16-0 home defeat at the hands of mid-table Hull Dockers, despite a huge performance by Jack Flanagan.

HUNSLET WARRIORS lost 20-16 at Bradford Dudley Hill in Division Two. The Warriors’ cause wasn’t helped by the dismissal on 54 minutes of Connor Wick for alleged punching, with Dillan Thornton and Jordan Gale being yellow-carded at the same time, for running in and dissent respectively. The Hill had Neil Wall red-carded in the same incident. Alfie Marshall, Gale and Lee West nipped over for the Warriors, with Gale landing a couple of goals.

EAST LEEDS beat Batley Boys 40-10. Nathan Conroy led the way with a try and six goals, while Ryan Wooffitt, James Forsell, Jordan Russell, Luke Littlewood and Shane Plunkett also dotted down. Drighlington’s fixture with Seaton, meanwhile, has been put back to later in the year at Drig’s request.
