HUNSLET Rugby League club have snapped up two Bradford Bulls players on loan.

Myles Lawford and Marcus Green, who are 19 and 20 respectively, have joined the Parksiders on, initially, fortnight deals, with options to review each week; the Bulls have, in accordance with usual practice, the right to recall either player.

Lawford, the son of the much-travelled Dean Lawford, is, like his father, also a halfback. Former Hunslet Warriors junior Green is a prop.

Hunslet’s head coach Alan Kilshaw said: “We are at the stage of the season where there is more importance on winning than development. We have lost some players naturally as the season has progressed, and we have also identified areas that need strengthening.

“Both players have played at Championship level and have big raps on them. They have plenty of potential and we feel they can enhance their development with us and play a real part, in the second half of the season, towards us achieving our goals.”

The duo will be in line for selection for Sunday’s home Betfred League One game with Cornwall (3.00pm).
