The club are building a largely youthful squad under head coach Alan Kilshaw ahead of the 2022 Betfred League 1 campaign, have bid a fond farewell to a number of players who are leaving the South Leeds outfit.           

Veteran scrum-half Dom Brambani announced his retirement from professional Rugby League in the wake of the recent promotion play-off elimination semi-final at Doncaster, and a number of others are either following suit or moving on.           

Those departing with heads held high after having given the Parksiders fine service include, in addition to Brambani: Simon Brown, Matty Chrimes, Jy-Mel Coleman, Nathan Conroy, Vila Halafihi, Brad Hey, Harry Kidd, Joe McLean, Alex Rowe, Mikey Wood and Lewis Wray.           

Chairman Kenny Sykes said: “All those players have given much to Hunslet’s cause and we wish them well, either in retirement or with their new clubs.

“Talks, meanwhile, are ongoing with some of the other members of the 2021 squad, and we will update accordingly in the near future.”
