One of Hunslet’s most consistent performers last season Aaron Levy is looking forward to wearing the Myrtle, White and Flame having re-signed for the 2025 Championship Season.
Aaron was brought in last season by Head Coach Dean Muir from Keighley Cougars to try and steer the Parksiders to promotion having had experience of getting out of League 1 with the Cougars.
Dean Muir commented “Az is the perfect professional. He goes about his business quietly and effectively.
“He knows how to do his job well, and during the Play-off run he was outstanding. He is smart with and without the ball and i am delighted we have retained him for next season.
“He is now an experienced member of the splaying group and it’s exciting to see how he progresses into the Championship.”
“I’m delighted to have re-signed for 2025.” said Levy “Dean brought me in to try and get the club promoted and I’m glad I was able to play a role in that. Although I missed the Swinton game through concussion, I really felt I was playing some of my best Rugby in a Hunslet shirt towards the back end of the season. Especially in the Keighley and Rochdale Play-off games. With the togetherness we showed in the Play-off’s I really couldn’t imagine wanting to play my Rugby elsewhere.”
The 28 year old Back Rower played 17 times for Keighley scoring 3 Tries in the 2023 Championship season, so has good Championship experience.
“Having played in the Championship before I have an understanding of the step up required. I’m looking forward to embracing the challenge with my team mates and being part of a great 2025 season with Hunslet.”
Levy runs hard and knows his way to the line, scoring 31 career tries, but is also massive in defence, regularly being high in the tackling stats.
With pre-season training on the horizon this Hunslet squad is getting more and more impressive, as anticipation for the 2025 season amongst supporters begins.
