Hunslet have signed former Wakefield Trinity and Newcastle Thunder centre Mac Walsh for the 2024 season.
Highly rated at Wakefield Trinity Walsh had moved to the North-east as he was studying at Newcastle University where he had a spell in Rugby Union. But Thunder coach Chris Thorman brought him back into Rugby league for 2023.
At only 19 years old Walsh will join Dean Muir’s young Hunslet side (The Parksiders have an average age of 24), but with valuable Championship experience it’s hoped he can play a crucial role in the Parksiders push for promotion.
Mac is described as “Very athletic and capable, he moves well and has a lot of potential in his game”
Hunslet fans will be excited to see him showing his skills in the Myrtle, White and Flame of Hunslet for 2024.
