STANNINGLEY recovered from an early try to win 28-16 at Milford and go level with Hunslet Club Parkside at the head of League D.
The visitors led 12-10 early in the second half, courtesy of tries by Sam Moorhouse and Dion Henry, plus two Eddie Crossland goals.
And touchdowns straddling the hour mark for Carl McGuigan, Dean Parker and Ben Selby, a couple of which Crossland converted, gave Stanningley a healthy cushion before Milford registered a late consolation effort.
There was precious little for HUNSLET WARRIORS to celebrate in a 66-0 hammering at Siddal, while the match between EAST LEEDS and HUNSLET CLUB PARKSIDE was one of many around the NCL that fell victim to Covid-19 isolation injunctions.
DRIGHLINGTON, meanwhile, went in front at Lock Lane with a try and a goal by Michael Sanderson, but the home side went on to win the League F fixture 60-10, leaving Drig still seeking a first win of the campaign.
Jake Deardon grabbed the visitors’ other try, shortly before half-time.
OULTON RAIDERS lost 29-28 to previously winless visitors Batley Boys in the Thursday evening Cross-League clash.
The Raiders had led 28-22 with a minute of normal time, only for the Boys to restore parity with a late converted try.
Matty Stableford, Chris Hope, Danny Macintosh, Adrian Holdsworth and Greg Coleridge had established Oulton’s lead, with Archie Craggs landing four goals.
