EACH of the National Conference League’s four divisions is headed by a team from South of the River territory – admittedly after only one round of fixtures.

HUNSLET CLUB PARKSIDE are top of the PREMIER DIVISION, courtesy of a 28-0 win at Cumbrian outfit Egremont Rangers; a victory that was secured despite Parkside being without the likes of Jamie Fields, Danny Lidbury and George Clark, who were injured in the previous week’s tremendous Betfred Challenge Cup effort against Sheffield Eagles.

Ritchie Westwood crossed twice in the rousting of Rangers, Will Cohen, Connor Squires and Omar Alwari touched down and Andy Hullock booted four goals.

OULTON RAIDERS are riding high in DIVISION ONE after prevailing 30-16 at north Leeds rivals Milford. The Raiders, who were never behind, prevailed through two tries by Chris Hope, touchdowns to Andy Williamson, Adrian Holdsworth and Hal Day, and five Archie Craggs goals. STANNINGLEY, though, missed out 24-16 at title rivals WEST BOWLING, despite tries by Tom Flannery, Jamaine Ruan and Tyler Hart, two of which Flannery improved.

HUNSLET WARRIORS are, after beating Beverley 30-14, looking down on the rest in DIVISION TWO. Alfie Marshall crossed twice in the success, Jordan Gale scored a try and three goals, and Mickey Hoyle, Tyler Dargan and Dillon Thornton popped in.

EAST LEEDS, meanwhile, are in pole position in DIVISION THREE, but DRIGHLINGTON are bottom, following a 48-0 result between the sides at Easy Road. Shane Plunkett led the way for Easts with four tries, Ben Walkin helped himself to a couple, and Cieran Edwards, James Forsell and Jordan Russell raced in; Nathan Conroy landed six goals.
